This trek is a great alternative for those wanting to experience the incredible beauty and rich culture of the Andes, wher people still live as the Incas used ti live in ancient times.

The people live in thatches houses shepherding their llamas and alpacas. ( Andean camels). Authentic encounters with Quechua communities and spectacular scenery, give these treks a wonderful tradition and splendor.

Along this trek we pass through the rich pastoral regions of the Cordillera Urubamba, we will appreciate beautiful snowcapped mountains, glaciar, lakes, natural hot springs ( hot medicinal baths), Inca remains and its peculiar fauna and flora.

ITINERARY.

DAY 1 CUSCO- HUARAN - QUISUARANI- CUNCANI.

Transfer to Huaran (2900) in a private bus, it is in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our trek start here through a fertile valley passing by colorful small communities.

We observe in the way two brilliant glacial lakes Suirococha and Yuraccocha, from the lakes the trail climbs steeply about 3 hours to the first pass named Pachacutec (4700 m). We continue a series of cascading waterfalls to the village of Quisuarani, until we get Cuncani, this is a very native community where people still preserve their ancient traditions. Camp site.

DAY 2 CUNCANI- IPSAYCOCHA.

The trail continue until to Huacawasi a wonderful place to visit the indian market, the people produce colorful weaving made by hand. Explore the native community, visiting their houses and chatting to friendly people.

We follow the hike ascending until the pass named Condor (4100 m), we appreciate the range of the Cordillera of the Andes and the most important snowcapped peak is Verónica (5700 meters above sea level).

We descend until the nice lake of Ipsaycocha. Camp site.

DAY 3 IPSAYCOCHA - PATACANCHA - OLLANTAYTAMBO- AGUAS CALIENTES.

Very early in the morning we continue down through native agricultural valleys, where there are the most important Quechua communities. We arrive to Patacancha, afterwards we will go down to Ollantaytambo by tourist bus.

At night we board the train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 4 AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU- CUSCO.

Very early in the morning we take the bus for half hour to Machupicchu, we enjoy a guided tour for 2 or 3 hours free time to explore Machupicchu.

In the afternoon we board the train back to Cusco. transfer to hotel.
