ITINERARY.

DAY 1 CUSCO- CANCHA CANCHA.

Departure from Cusco very early in the morning in private bus to Huaran ( 2900 m) for 1 1/2 hours pprox, it is a small village located in the Urubamba valley, we will start our trek through a fertile valley and follows a small river up after walking roughly, 5 hours of walking we begin to see the glacial peaks of Cancha Cancha (4984 m) and Chicon (5530 m). We campsite at Cancha Cancha.

DAY 2 CANCHA CANCHA- QUISUARANI

After breakfast we will continue our trek we reach two brilliant glacial lakes, Suirococha and Yuraccocha, here we can see several birds species , including andean ibis and andean geese after 2 hours of climbing we arrive to the first pass named Pachacutec, near the top we enjoy a spectacular view of the snow-covered peaks of Pitusiray (5750 m) and Chicon (5530 m). An original Inka stone path will lead us along the ride; we follow a series of cascading waterfalls to the village of Quisuarani. Campsite.

DAY 3 QUISUARANI - CUNCANI.

We will continue our trek passing through the second high pass of Huillquijasa (4200 m). From this high mountain we can see the extensive Vilcanota Range and the pastoral farmland and lagoons below, we also see llamas, alpacas, and sheep graze, the rare peruvian vizcacha, continuing the trek we arrive to the village of Quisuarani (3700 m).

We will continue walking on this beautiful narrow trail looking at the great landscapes with turquoise lagoons, until we reach the pisturesque village of Cuncani (3700 m). Campsite.

DAY 4 CUNCANI -LARES HOT SPRING - OLLANTAYTAMBO.

Very early in the morning we continue through the valley for 3 hours approx the vegetation becomes greener, a more sub-tropical climate, small farnis and adobe houses signal our arrival to the village of Trapiche and finally to the hot medicinal baths of Lares (3100 m). It is an excellent ways for trekkers to rest their tires bodies after a trip from the village of Lares our private transport will be waiting to take us to Ollantaytambo. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

DAY 5 OLLANTAYTAMBO - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO.

Very early in the morning we board the train to Aguas Calientes for 1 1/2 hours of journey. From here we take the bus up to Machupicchu.

We will have a tour guide for 2 or 3 hours, free time to explore Machupicchu. In the afternoon we board the train back to Cusco. Transfer to hotel
